I am firm believer in simple small verbs that can does great wonders in not just in German, but in any language. You dont need to use complex words, but few dead simple words in a language will do an amazing job. Whereever you go, be it in any country you will often forced to use `want`, `find`, `go` and `help` equivalents in that language. These 4 words are so powerful and can conquer pretty much any language and so goes with german.
The following 4 simple german verbs will do wonders and can come into use in any situation…
möchen (to want)
finden (to find)
gehen (to go)
helfen (to help)

Too right, that is why I insist on “haben” and “sein” and the basic modal verbs as well, good to incloude the one’s above, like finden, helfen, moechten und gehen, with those one and a few modals, you can do heaps and need the dictionary only for a few basic infinitive verbs.
